Sandhills Motoring Club

The Sandhills Motoring Club (SMC) brings together automotive enthusiasts from across the Sandhills of North Carolina through a shared appreciation for automobiles, driving, and the culture that surrounds them. Based in Moore County, the Club welcomes enthusiasts of all backgrounds and interests – from classics and sports cars to exotics, modern performance vehicles, and everything in between. More than simply a car club, SMC is focused on creating opportunities for members to connect, share experiences, and build lasting relationships within the automotive community.

Throughout the year, Sandhills Motoring Club hosts a diverse calendar of events, including our monthly Cars & Coffee gatherings in the Village of Pinehurst, scenic drives, social events, automotive displays, Evening Shift programs, and special collaborations with local organizations and businesses. The Club also encourages the next generation of automotive enthusiasts through SMC NextGen, its junior membership program, while developing unique experiences that celebrate all things automotive history.

Community involvement is an important part of the Club’s mission. Through its events, partnerships, and connection with the Sandhills Motoring Expo, SMC works to strengthen the region’s automotive community while supporting local organizations and charitable initiatives. At its core, Sandhills Motoring Club is about bringing people together through the automobile – whether behind the wheel, gathered around a remarkable car, or simply enjoying the camaraderie that makes motoring culture special.
